Bacterial Infections

Bacterial skin infections develop when bacteria enter through small breaks in the skin or hair follicles, which are the result of punctures, surgeries, scrapes, insect bites, wounds, preexisting skin disorders, or scrapes. Treatment for bacterial infections can be from topical ointments and antibiotics.

Fungal Infections

Fungal infections can occur anywhere on the body; these infections can cause uncomfortable symptoms such as itchy rashes or peeling skin.

Herpes

Herpes is a common viral infection, many people that get the virus that causes herpes may not see or feel anything. If you have ever had a fever, blister, or cold sore, you have picked up the herpes simplex virus.

Herpes Zoster

Herpes Zoster (also known as Shingles) is a painful rash that develops on one side of the body or face. This rash consists of blisters that usually scab over 7 to 10 days and clear up within 2 to 4 weeks. Early treatment of shingles can result in a shorter course of the condition.
